Founder Frank Barbieri Assumes Role of Chief Product Officer
San Francisco, CA – June 9, 2010 – Transpera, The Attention Network, fostering pure, undivided attention between consumers and brands through mobile video advertising, today announces the appointment of Greg Ballard to the position of Chief Executive Officer and Alex Galvagni to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Current CEO Frank Barbieri will assume the role of Chief Product Officer.
Ballard brings to Transpera a distinguished career in mobile, gaming, entertainment and multimedia industries. Most recently, Ballard served for six years as president and CEO of Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU), a global publisher of mobile games, during which time he guided the company through a period of rapid growth as a private company to its public offering in 2007. His vast experience also includes service as CEO at SONICblue, makers of ReplayTV and Rio digital music players; MyFamily.com, now the public company Ancestry.com , a successful subscription-based Internet service; and 3Dfx, a graphic chipset supplier, which he also directed through its early private days to a public offering. Prior to his recent service at Glu Mobile, Mr. Ballard served as CEO and COO for Warner Custom Music, a Division of Time Warner, Inc. Mr. Ballard was also president of Capcom Entertainment, as well as COO and CFO of Digital Pictures, a leading video game developer. Mr. Ballard has held numerous public and private board seats and currently sits on the board of directors for DTS, Inc (NASDAQ: DTSI) and the privately held Big Foot Networks. He holds a B.A. from the University of Redlands and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Mr. Galvagni brings to Transpera an extensive background building and leading organizations that deliver innovative mobile software products and technologies. Most recently, Galvagni served as the Chief Technology Officer of Glu Mobile and as its Senior Vice President of Global Product Development. Prior to joining Glu Mobile, he served as an Architect at BEA Systems Inc., where he planned the extension of the WebLogic platform to mobile computing. Galvagni served as project leader of Pumatech International and also held senior engineering positions at Pumatech, ProxinetInc and NASA Ames Research Center in the computational science division. He holds a B.S. in computer engineering from California State University at San Jose and an M.S. in computer engineering from Santa Clara University.
Ballard is responsible for management of all aspects of the company’s activities as well as its financial and strategic position. Galvagni is responsible for Transpera’s product development and operations, including customer support and service. As Chief Product Officer, Transpera founder Frank Barbieri will oversee the company’s product marketing strategy. Both Ballard and Barbieri will serve on the company’s Board of Directors.
