Qualcomm MediaFLO leader joins as Vice President of Product Development
Santa Monica, Calif., Aug. 8, 2007 – Transpera, a next generation mobile video company that helps businesses create mobile video experiences and generate new revenue, announced today that mobile video veteran Nick Glassman has joined the company’s executive team as Vice President of Product Development. In this role, Glassman will drive the company’s content and advertising product and service strategy.

With more than 15 years in the entertainment and mobile media industries, Glassman has supervised the design, development, launch, and operation of new media services in almost every platform, including mobile, interactive television, and the Web. Glassman joins Transpera from MediaFLO USA, Inc., a subsidiary of QUALCOMM, where he served as Executive Producer, managing the day to day production of the live video service, including content provider integration and designing and developing service prototypes. Glassman served as one of the first members of MediaFLO USA. He has also managed consumer applications at PacketVideo, the mobile video company, and held senior positions with Excite, Inc., Moxi Digital and Silicon Graphics. He began his career at Pixar Animation Studios working on the groundbreaking animated feature, Toy Story.
